* A Little Luck for a Future Dream *
Light a Candlefor Your Future Self
Write a wish today.
Let a candle, a four-leaf charm, and time carry it back to you.
For less than a cup of coffee, leave a tiny flame for someone you miss, a goal you are chasing, or a version of yourself who still believes. Some people call it luck. We call it remembering.
I'm Mido, from Nablus in the West Bank. I once dreamed of becoming a doctor. I scored 99.3 on my final exams and was accepted into medical school, but war changed everything. I had to leave that path behind and begin again in Cyprus, where I now study Molecular Biology and Genetics.
Some people might see that as a step back. I chose to see it as a fresh start. I set myself a goal to graduate in 3 years instead of 4, and started building my own path at the intersection of genetics, neuroscience, and AI. One of my first projects was an AI model that predicts mutations in brain tumors.
The road is expensive, and tuition weighs heavily on my shoulders. That is why I built Wish Candle. Every candle someone lights helps support my education and brings me one step closer to the dream I am still working toward.
In return, Wish Candle gives people a small symbolic way to send hope, intention, and memory into the future. This project is still in its first chapter. Every candle lit becomes part of that story.
